First 1000 hits Blog Candy!!

I'm so excited to reach my first 1000 hits. I'm having so much fun blogging! When I first heard about blogging a year or so ago, I thought it sounded kind of weird. It never occurred to me that blogging could encompass the stamping world. I'm so glad other people thought of it first and now I get to add my two cents worth of creativity to the world at large.

So to celebrate my first little milestone I am offering the items you see in this picture. The metal containers and the notebook are ready and waiting for you to embellish them with your own sense of creativity. I have already embellished the mailbox and made the cow magnet for you. There may even be a surprise inside for the luck winner. *wink, wink*

I bet your wondering what silly thing I want you to post about to qualify for this blog candy. Here's what I was thinking: Tell me what movie you last saw at the theater and then give a little critique. I love to go to the movies, but I hate to spend $18.00 to get in and another $15.00-$20.00 on overpriced concessions only to be disappointed in the movie. Last weekend I saw "Wild Hogs". This one was definitely worth the admission! I laughed the whole way through. I highly recommend it to you. Okay, so post your review to this post anytime before 10:00 PM PST on Thursday, March 8th. I will announce the lucky winner on Friday morning.

Come on, play along. And if you are new to my blog take a look and subscribe! The more the merrier. Speaking of merrier, I went to Disneyland yesterday. The weather was beautiful! Hubby and I got to play with our two adorable nephews while their parents went on rides and I even went to dinner at Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney which is a treat all on it's own. My own kids had a great time as well and we are all exhausted today! LOL

CUTE mailbox!!! Absolutely love it with that paper!

So, I honestly don't remember the last time I saw a movie in the theater...so I guess I'll review the last movie we watched on DVD instead!

We rented Master & Commander since my husband has been reading all of the Patrick O'Brian novels. I was impressed iwth the acting - and amazed at the range of Russel Crowe. That said...it's pretty much a guy flick!!

Hope I win!! ;-)

I love your blog. The last movie I went to was Dream Girls. The music was amazing. And so was Jennifer Hudson (one of finalists from american idol) But where I live it is $9.00 for a movie. Not $18.00. I am always the last one to see a movie. We never seem to find the time to go out.

Congrats on your successful blog! The last movie we went to was "The Illusionist". We really enjoyed it and will probably rent it again, just to figure things out along the way. Don't want to say too much as it would ruin it for anyone! Lois H

Well... you KNOW I was at the movies last weekend. ;o) We went and saw Breach. It was pretty good. I liked the acting and the story and the fact that we could stay through the whole movie and didn't have to walk out half way through because of "nasty stuff." I think it was worth the money. no laughs tho... I would say Lois has a better recommendation. The Illusionist was awesome!

Congrats...I am sure you'll be at 2000 in no time! Well, I'll be hard-pressed to remember the last movie I went to in the theatre (I am so sheltered!)...ha! No, it just doesn't have the appeal it once had! I think the last one I say was "An Inconvenient Truth"...it deserved its Oscar win...

Love your blog candy! The last movie I saw was, The Persuit of Happyness with Will Smith. It is a true story and a very sad one until the very end. the suspense of waiting for Will to finally find his "happyness".

Now I don't want any giggling but the last movie I saw was Open Season with my three girls and it was hysterical, the funniest film in a long time, I did not help that I had to keep putting my 3½ back in her seat as she seemed to get ants in her pants!!!! I am sure you all can visualise that, he he

Great blog, I will be subscribing

Great candy and very nice blog!! The last movie I saw, was Charlotte's Web - with my girls. They loved it, it was very cute . . . the spider was a bit too realistic for me, but then I'm not a bug person! :)

The last movie I saw in the theater was "Letters from Iwo Jima" and it was amazing. It was SO interesting to see the story told from the perspective of the Japanese soldiers. The acting was phenomenal (Ken Watanabe was oustanding), and the story was very emotional and powerful. I would definitely recommend it if you can handle a war movie.

Hi Michelle; I just found your blog through Allison's - thanks for sharing your creations with us! The last movie I went to see in the theater was either Curious George or Over the Hedge. Yes I like kids movies, and yes that was a looooong time ago! Both were cute, although Curious George is really truly for kids, no adult humour in that one like most of the other animated films coming out these days.

Congrats on your new blog!! Last movie seen in a theater...oh my, that's going to take some thinking since I've been pregnant or nursing a newborn for the past four years and really only get out to the grocery store anymore! LOL!

I think it was the last Lord of the Rings movies (how sad it that...my hubby and I need to get out more!) and it was amazing. I had never read any of the books and didn't know much about their content. Was hooked after seeing the first movie and proceeded to read all of the books (only one a year though so I wouldn't ruin any of the upcoming movie details), including The Hobbit! Definitely one of my all time favorite movies!

The last movie I saw was "Wild Hogs." I have to say it was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. It had a good strong storyline and the movie followed it to the end. It has good characters that meshed well together. There was very little vulgar language in it too! This is one movie I'm going to purchase when it comes out on DVD! I highly recommend it!

Congratulations on your 1,000 hits! Your posts are great!

The last movie I remember seeing is Dead Man's Chest...the 2nd Pirates of the Caribbean movie...

Well worth the money. I'm glad that I stayed to see what happened after the credits finished too!

I guess I don't go to the movies too often b/c you don't know what is worth the time and money!

I'll be reading everyone's comments!

love that cow.

Last movie i saw in the theater. It's been awhile...perhaps The Illusionist.

But I have a list of 7 i want to see and my husband gave me this movie card with $50 on it. I can see all of them.

I just love your creativity and wish I had half of it! I do not go to the movie theater as most movies are not closed captioning. I am deaf and rely on that. The last movie my husband and I rented, The Illusionist will always be special to me as it was the last movie we watched together as he died suddenly from a massive heart attack a few days later.
My Target does not carry that mailbox and have been looking high and low for one! I hope I win as I sure could use some good news after grieving for a month.

I just discovered your blog (thanks Allison!). I love the stuff you've done with the Spring mini supplies!
As for movies, I really don't go often, nor to I rent. If I do go, it's normally kids' movies with my daughter. We had friends in town from Australia last summer and went to see Ant Bully. It was cute and better than I expected...although I'm sure it's not still in the theatres, nor would your want to rent it (unless you have young kids!) Sorry I couldn't be of more help!!

The last movie I saw in the theatre was "Happy Feet." I've heard a lot of people say that the movie is too political. I can understand why they say it's political, but I didn't think of the things until afterwards when my husband and I were discussing it. I was just watching the movie for the entertainment value and I thought it was really cute. There were a few parts towards the end that were somewhat weird and that the movie could have done without, but overall I really enjoyed it.

Great blog!

The last movie I was in the theatre was "Stranger Than Fiction". It was really good. It helped a lot that we were able to catch it at the second run theatre so it was relatively cheap. Good movie too!

Well--I know I should be the winner. It's been ages since I've been to the movies. King Kong was the last movie I saw in the theatre. It was good. I enjoyed it. But didn't enjoy the third row seats. Man was that gorilla huge!

LOL

Thanks for the candy offer and what a great blog!

I think that the last movie I saw in the theatre might have been the last Harry Potter movie. I think I liked it though! It's been a while b/c I have young baby. I just heard a good review for Little Miss SUnshine (out ont DVD) and my parents just said that the new movie that's out in theatres about the US double agent (I think its based on a true story) is really good--no junk, great plot.
Wow, Disney land sounds way better than any old movie! What a fun day you had!
Thanks for the blog candy (all excellent choices by the way, I'm very excited!)

Congratulations on reaching this blogging milestone and for giving away such fun blog candy! To be honest I can't remember the last movie I saw in the theater, it's been awhile! I think it was a kids movie with my girls, but I can't remember which one or if it was good or not.

I can't remember which movie was the last we saw in the theatre... I know we've seen a few. But I really liked Casino Royale. My husband is a big James Bond fan & we came in with skeptical minds & were completely won over. He kept true to the character & also revealed an interesting side as well... much appreciated & very thrilling! :D

I love your mailbox, it's so cute! Okay, I have two daughters*one who is almost 5, and one who is 8 months old* so needless to say we don't get out to a movie much. lol.. so the last movie I've seen at the theaters would have to be Charlotte's Web. It was so cute, made me cry! lol.... I just love Dakota Fanning she's so cute. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful creations!

Love your blog and your ideas.
Last movie I saw was Autumn in New York. We live in a small town with no theater. So, it was so long ago I don't even know if that is the right title.
I am dying to see Wild Hogs. Can't wait for the DVD.

I see a lot of movies free as I am part of a group that does the sneak peeks the day before and critiques them. I am not paid anything.

The last one I saw was the Pursuit of Happyness. It was not all it was cracked up to be in the press. It was depressing of course to see anyone go thru this, but so little was told about the father's life at work, it was all about finding a place to sleep all the time. I was upset that the mother was never mentioned again-she had issues too. It was just waves and waves of homelessness and then everything just wrapped up at the end? In two minutes? Doesnt work that way-so my opinion on this one is, if you can see it free, do so because the little boy is adorable, but if you want a choice, read the book!

The last movie I saw was Night at the Museum. DS and I had a date night! It was cute -- I stayed awake through the whole thing, which doesn't always happen LOL

Thanks for sharing your talents.

Glad I clicked on the link (in SCS)to your blog! I love your stamping work and wanted to see more. Great work on the blog!

Let's see, the last movie I saw was Flags of Our Fathers with my dh. It was a beautifully done film. I don't particularly like war flicks, but some of the scenes really made me think. I would recommend it to everyone. (It doesn't hurt that our son is a US Marine either :O)

Glad I clicked in for a chance at your candy. The last movie I saw was Amazing Grace. I was afraid that it would be really boring, and that I would fall asleep, but it was AMAZINGLY good. I would recommend.
