Take a Challenge

This morning I was checking some blogs that I have bookmarked. I came across Daring Card Makers. They regularly post sketch challenges. So today I decided to play. For my card I started with a card base of Tempting Turquoise. I then layered three pieces of the Paisley & Petals Designer Paper. I added a strip of Old Olive and turquoise grosgrain ribbon. Lastly I stamped the flower from Looks Like Spring. I did the rock-n-roll technique. First I stamped the flower in Turquoise then I rolled the edges in Old Olive. I cut the flower out and added a button from the Fresh Favorites II set. This was a quick and simple card with great results. Sometimes it's nice to have the layout all planned for you and to just think about the pretties.

Splitcoast Stampers has weekly sketch challenges and color challenges. I think I'll have to go there when I'm feeling uninspired in the future. I'm wishing you all lots of inspired stamping time!

I love the colors on the flower. These are colors I would not have put together like that, but I really like it!
