Finding More Joy

Another sample of the Polka Dots and Paisley set, along with the Petals Jumbo Wheel. The card is Apricot Appeal. The background is the paisley image stamped randomly in apricot. The band across the middle is the wheel stamped in apricot onto whisper white and layered on Certainly Celery. The main image is also on white and stamped in celery. I did a little marker coloring on the main paisley image in apricot and added the celery grosgrain ribbon. The doodling on the main image and the dots on the horizontal strip are freehand. I just thought it needed a little something to anchor the whole thing. Someone once told me that every art project needs and little black or brown to anchor it. I admit that I don't always do that, but more often than not, I find that it helps. Some images just have the feeling of wanting to float away without that touch of black to "ground" them.

I'm definitely feeling the love with all the comments on my blog candy. Thank you all! So don't forget to leave your comment on that post to be included in the drawing.

I'm hoping I can find a little time to stamp something new today for sharing tomorrow. I need to clean the house, make dinner, run kids around, do laundry, etc., etc., etc. I know you all know the story. Have a great day!

I love that color combo! Thank you! I have had some apricot that I ordered last spring and then never got around to using and wondering "What was I going to use this with?" Looks super with Cert. Celery! I found your blog thru Ladystamper's blog and I love it. Definitley going on my faves!
