Easy Does It
Okay, I wanted to post earlier today...or even over the weekend, but it seems I have lost my mojo. So a little while ago I sat down at my stamping desk to create something, anything. I happened to have the petals wheel on my desk with the Bashful Blue ink cartridge already in it. I certainly wasn't feeling any spark about using that, but hey, it was there. I started thinking about the other items I had on my desk, like scaps of bashful blue card stock and white card stock. So I wheeled onto a white card base. After looking at it for a while I figured I would just use the set that goes with the wheel: Polka Dots and Paisley. I grabbed one of the blue scraps and stamped the dotty background on it. The focal point wasn't so easy to figure out. I stamped a few things that looked stupid and then ended up with what you see in the picture. I stamped the paisley off once before stamping it on the focal piece over the sentiment. I looked at my three pieces of paper laying there together and knew they needed something else. Hmmm, I had no idea what. So I pulled out my light blue gingham ribbon and my soft subtle brad assortment. It took me a few minutes to figure out just what I wanted to do here and now the card is actually growing on me. I don't do a lot of monochromatic cards so this is a nice change of pace. In fact, I have a workshop on Friday and I think this will be one of the make-n-takes.
Hopefully, later on today I'll actually feel like stamping and come up with something a little more exciting. Although, I'm not actually counting on that at this point. So in the meantime, while my mojo is off getting a suntan or something, I will just be taking the easy route to crafting.
