Bug in the Guava

No, not in your food, silly! In your ink pad!! I CASEd this cute little bug from Doodledop on Splitcoaststampers. You can see her adorable card here. I used Groovy Guava instead of red because I was using my downline, Alicia's, ink pad that she brought along to Group Meeting last night. I wanted to play with the guava while it was here and I remembered seeing this bug on SCS. So I made the bug by stamping the polka dotted petal from Pick A Petal in Groovy Guava onto Blush Blossom. I then stamped the smile petal over the polka dotted one in black. The head of the bug is half of a large circle stamp and the body is a whole one. I attached my little bug to a 3x3 piece of blush blossom and did some paper piercing around the edges. I also drew in some curly antennae. This layer is then attached to Pumpkin Pie and the whole thing is attached to a guava card with circles stamped in Pumpkin Pie. For "kind" I stamped the word in black onto Blush Blossom and punched it out with the large oval punch. I used my rectangle punch on each end of the oval and wove black grosgrain through the oval and around the card. I'm loving this one. And so did everyone at the meeting because they all ended up making one!!

Have a super day!

Michelle, I agree! What a great way to show the flexibility of SU! stamps! I never would have thought of this -- and frankly was hesitating on that set -- the only petal I like is the smile one! This is such a cute card! TFS!
